Registered Nurses

A nurse who has graduated from a nursing program is a registered nurse (RN). In a large range of clinical environments, registered nurses are hired and frequently specialize in an area of practice. They may be responsible for managing treatment rendered by other healthcare personnel, including student nurses, unlicensed assistive staff of licensed practical nurses, and less skilled RNs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) takes care of basic nursing duties in places such as hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities as an advisor to doctors and registered nurses (RNs). Also known as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), the task of providing the quality care that patients need is important. Although tasks may differ slightly depending on the boss, LPNs and LVNs may vary slightly.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse, assists patients with everyday life tasks and other health care needs (LPN). A Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or a Nurse’s Assistance are often commonly referred to as CNA’s. While there are some parallels between licensed nursing assistants and medical assistants (MAs),
